Official Opening of the Blackbutt Reserve Multipurpose Community Facility & Cafe
Kingston Building is proud to have delivered the new Multipurpose Centre and Café warm shell fit out at Blackbutt Nature Reserve for the City of Newcastle.
The two-storey Multipurpose Centre features an upper level space designed for education programs, community functions and meetings, while the lower level is dedicated to storage and essential services.
The café includes a commercial kitchen, cool room, freezer and a rooftop garden.
Both buildings are connected by a suspended slab roof and complemented by a feature stone staircase, new footpaths, and landscaped surroundings.
Upon completion, all stakeholders were extremely pleased with the outcome.
Kingston was a collaborative team to work with, showing open communication and adaptability throughout. They delivered a professional and well-managed project within an operating public space, always prioritising safety and community access. The result is a great building for our community.
