The City of Newcastle engaged Kingston to renew roof tiles, roof plumbing, and generally restore weatherproofing for the Civic Theatre Playhouse, with the objective of protecting its heritage fabric and extending the service life of the community building.

Kingston demonstrated a high level of collaboration throughout the project, using open communication, flexibility, and displaying an understanding of the unique challenges associated with heritage projects. They effectively navigated site-specific constraints and delivered the works within an operating public building. Kingston maintained a safe, well-managed, and professional working environment. Importantly, Kingston ensured that public safety and amenity were maintained by regularly adapting their schedule, often at short notice, to navigate the venues' operational requirements.

The completed works represent a high-quality restoration outcome, ensuring the long-term protection of the Playhouse. This project has made a significant contribution to preserving an important community asset for future generations.

I’ve been extremely happy with the work Kingston Building delivered for Maxwell Recruitment & Training at our new headquarters in Warabrook.
