Kingston Building recently completed the significant extension and refurbishments of both Gloucester & Dungog Hospitals. Both projects were staged across 12 months to significantly reconfigure and extend the hospitals, in the process creating new 2 & 4 bed wards, palliative care areas, relocated Emergency Departments, additional dirty utilities and the refurbishment of existing wards. All works were undertaken within an operating hospital environment while not impacting the existing health service delivery. Modifications to suit COVID-19 requirements mid-project were required and incorporated into the construction. A fantastic achievement from all involved in both of these major works projects.
