Kingston Building is proud to announce the completion of the Whiteley Human Therapeutics Plant in Tomago, NSW – a first-of-its-kind facility officially opened on 19th June 2025.

Engaged under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) arrangement, Kingston Building partnered with Whiteley Corporation to transform their existing Tomago site into a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant for hospital-grade hand sanitiser and other therapeutic products.

The project involved the complete demolition of the existing office and internal strip-out of the warehouse, followed by the construction of:

• A two-storey office with multiple offices, an open-plan workspace for 20 staff, a boardroom, breakout area, passenger lift, timber and glass staircase, two kitchens and amenities.
• A new two-storey manufacturing facility built to meet strict Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) standards, featuring four laboratories, bunded mixing tank area, clean equipment storage spaces, filling stations, dispensary, and a pallet wrapping zone.
• A 1,000m² warehouse with pallet racking and a mezzanine plantroom for mechanical systems.

To meet the high compliance standards, Kingston implemented specialised construction techniques, including anti-static flooring and SteriGuard finishes to mitigate spark risks, Bondor Panels for dust-free surfaces, and HEPA filtration systems to maintain cleanroom air quality. Safety and precision were important, with site-specific hazard studies ensuring correct mechanical zoning and pressurisation to prevent hazardous gas mixing.
