
This project involved the demolition of the existing dilapidated Beenleigh Village Mall Shopping Centre and the design and construction of a new multi-building complex housing a mix of retail, hospitality and medical facilities.
The site consisted of 3 parcels of land combined to create a reinvigorated street and village precinct to a run down area of Beenleigh. The first zone is a 1200m2 medical centre for Sonic Healthcare. A second two storey structure was built to house a range of medical and retail tenancies. The third zone comprised two new drive thru restaurant’s occupied by Stella Rossa and Taco Bell for Collins Food Group. A condition of the development was to maintain access at all times through the construction site as it was a live operational centre.

- Repair and reuse of existing steel and concrete panel structural elements.
- Façade substrate engineering for the external Equitone Façade system.
- Substitution of existing steel and super structure and re-use of most of the 3700m2 of Floor Area over the three distinct zones.
- Extensive patching and fixing of concrete floor levels to achieve a new finish over.
- Full site fire hydrant coverage, and new electrical and communication reticulation.
- Detailed internal fit out of Taco Bell retail and drive thru.
- Bespoke angular Equitone façade/soffit and wall finishes.
- Main road position with key safety and traffic constraints.
- New street awnings to enhance the site and street aesthetics.
