Dungog Hospital Extension

Dungog Hospital Extension

Dungog Hospital Extension

Government Health & Aged Hospital

Kingston Building was awarded the contract for the significant extension and refurbishment of Dungog Hospital. This 12 month staged project commenced in May 2019 to significantly extend the hospital with the creation of new 4 and 2 bed wards, palliative care area, dirty utility and the refurbishment of the existing wards and Emergency Department areas within a working hospital environment while not impacting health service delivery.

The works involve the development and implementation of a fast-tracked staged construction and handover program to achieve the project deliverables while minimising impact to the normal hospital operations. Works include the development and installation of hoarding plans to separate work areas from the normal hospital operations, managing IP&C and coordination of hospital service disruptions whilst completing a complicated hospital wide services installation and integrated fit out.
