At last Friday’s annual Master Builder Association 2022 Newcastle Excellence in Building Awards, Kingston Building was successful in winning the award for Best Public Building in the $8-10m category.
Kingston took out the category with the recently completed Hunter Warbirds Museum & Scone Memorial Airport project that we undertook for the Upper Hunter Shire Council.
The project involved design & construction of a 3200m2 hangar to display fighter planes from WW1 through to current day, and an adjoining 2 storey terminal building that includes a function centre, commercial kitchen and gift shop.
Congratulations to the entire team associated with the project. What an amazing project and a great outcome for the team!
Kingston Building was also recognised for other successful projects as runner up in each of the following categories:
- Commercial Buildings Under $10m: Tamworth Aldi
- Public Buildings $3-6m: Tamworth Aldi
- Extensions, Renovations & Refurbishments under $500k: Redhead Surf Club Extension
- SafeWork Excellence in Work Health & Safety Award – Commercial.
The quality of the projects delivered and the recognition received is a credit to the entire Kingston team.
