The No.1 Tudor Street commercial building project consists of 4 levels of open plan office area, including a ground floor commercial shop front & onsite parking built for client Hunter Coastal Developments. The building structure consists of precast panels, block work and in situ concrete floor slabs with commercial windows and metallic composite cladding. It also features steel blades and sun hoods architecturally adding to the character of the streetscape.

The project, designed by Shaddock Smith Architects, cleverly made use of a small site maximising floor area with boundary construction and providing vehicle parking without the need for basement excavation. The project was completed on time and on budget despite difficult access and restraints due to its location at the corner of Tudor & Hunter Streets. Precast panels with fluted imprint provided relief to the side and rear facade whilst the front facade comprised modern sleek metallic finishes with sunhoods for energy efficiency. The building provides cost effective accommodation at a high quality of finish located on what was once another vacant site at the western end of the city. The simplistic yet stylish design and finishes promotes the western end of the city as a point of rejuvenation.
