Commercial Industrial

A single storey commercial / industrial building comprising a Food Production Unit (commercial kitchen), a large commercial laundry and supporting administration areas. The facility provides Anglican Care a consolidation of their Hospitality Service operations, thereby providing a more consistent level of service quality across their aged care and community care sites in the Hunter, Lake Macquarie and Manning Valley Regions.

The Facility was approx. 1500m2 Concrete Panel construction, and included a high performance lightning protection, high security access control systems, substation, back-up power generator for essential refrigeration and cool rooms, car parking and landscaping. The specialised laundry area was approx. 750 m2 and constructed to meet high biosecurity standards including epoxy floors. Works included the purchase and installation of specialised large 250kg capacity washing machines and dryers, custom designed sorting benches and large scale sheet and towel folding machines.

The specialised kitchen of approx. 600m2 was designed to provide capacity to service 2500 patients daily. Works included supply and installation of large cool rooms, freezers, packing and preparation rooms along with large scale gas cooking and specialised cooking areas. The whole cooking area was constructed to meet high food safe and hygiene requirements including epoxy floors, all stainless steel equipment specialised “white rock” wall linings and pressurised air conditioned areas. Administration areas and amenities included staff offices and amenities to support staff in an environment with 24 hrs per day production capability.
