This landmark project in Jesmond involved Kingston Building undertaking a full Development Management role in the process of creating 22 senior living residences. The DM process included purchasing the land, completing concept and detailed designs, securing Authority approvals to allow the development to evolve, and constructing the 3-storey apartment building. As part of this, Kingston were able to partner with the Oak Tree Group in the delivery of this vertical retirement village.

The project is an architecturally designed retirement village and the first of its kind for this progressive developer in the Hunter Region. The village includes a combination of one-, two- and three-bedroom units over 3 levels, and has been purposefully designed for seniors who desire an independent lifestyle close to amenities, retail shopping centres and transport. A major feature of the project involved creating a stylish, contemporary urban design with a community feel, whilst also incorporating a community centre and covered outdoor area to allow residents to mingle and enjoy the development’s amenities.
