A fast-tracked 10 week program was implemented and achieved to deliver the integrated fitout of a new surgery for Newcastle Endoscopy.
With an array of surgical and medical equipment required Kingston facilitated the installation of a complicated services design to ensure all equipment was installed, commissioned and operational upon practical completion.
The design included the creation of a reception and waiting area involving elaborate curved joinery, 2 procedure rooms with associated anaesthetic rooms, clean and dirty utility rooms, endoscope processing room and associated store, recovery wards which included a resuscitation bay, as well as offices and staff common rooms.
The project was located in the heart of a busy CBD area and in a new building which involved other construction companies undertaking concurrent fit out works. This created complications for construction deliveries, however, by implementing a regimented communication plan these issues were overcome.
